A modern Frankenstein story by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright James Ijames about Gus, a white, gay artist who wants to be presented in a major art exhibition meant to showcase artists of color. When he hires a black actress, Vanessa, to be the face of his art in order to be shown in the exhibit, things get out of control and through the chaos we are able to explore today’s realities of race, gender, sexuality, and art. Stereotypes get turned inside out and hard truths are brought to light.
